The Witcher season 2 has provided our first look at a brand-new band of Witchers.
In the image below, fans of Netflix’s dark fantasy can catch of glimpse of Vesemir (played by Killing Eve favourite Kim Bodnia), Lambert (Peaky Blinders’ Paul Bullion), Coen (Marcella star Yasen Atour) and Eskel (Victoria’s Basil Eidenbenz).
Here, they’re gathered in Kaer Morhen’s main hall.
In an interview with ComicBook, The Witcher showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich previously addressed the emergence of these never-before-seen monster slayers.
“Probably my favourite additions for season 2 are the new Witchers,” she began. “Really, in season 1, we got to know Geralt and he’s our prime example of a Witcher. And then there is one other Witcher, Remus, who we meet in Episode 103, who quickly dies.
“So it was, for us really, about getting Geralt back to his roots and sort of learning where he came from and what his story is and what his sense of family is.
“I’m really excited to get back in and meet Vesemir, his father figure, for the first time and all of these men that he was raised with since he was seven years old,” Hissrich continued.
The Witcher season 1 is now streaming worldwide on Netflix. Season 2 will premiere on December 17, 2021.
