Riverdale fans are eagerly anticipating Katy Keene, the new crossover that will air in 2020 on The CW. The pilot episode had its premiere recently and its creator dropped some huge hints about who will crossover to the show. Veronica Lodge (played by Camila Mendes) is one of the main characters who could be appearing in the new series.

Will Veronica Lodge crossover to Katy Keene?

Katy Keene and Riverdale showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has hinted fans would see Veronica head to New York at some point.

When talking about crossovers between the two series, he said: “We definitely will be seeing the Pussycats, but probably not in the way you expect.”

According to Deadline, this seemed to surprise Josie McCoy actress Ashleigh Murray, suggesting that those scenes have not been filmed yet.

The appearance of the Pussycats probably means the return of Valerie Brown (Hayley Law) and Melody Valentine (Asha Bromfield).

However, it could also mean the return of Veronica, an occasional member of The Pussycats in Riverdale.

At the premiere, it was confirmed that each episode of the series would feature two musical numbers as Josie tries to make it as a singer in New York.

As such, there is plenty of room for a musical reunion of The Pussycats in the new show.

Then again, Aguirre-Sacasa’s cryptic hint could be deliberately misleading and that Val, Melody and Veronica will not appear.
