We got to see Lord John Grey return in Outlander Season 6, Episode 5. Will David Berry return for more episodes in the season?
There are some characters that are on the smaller side when it comes to appearances in a series. Yet, they tend to become some of the fan favorites. That’s certainly been the case for Lord John Grey, and we love seeing David Berry grace our screens in the role as much as possible.
For a while, we didn’t expect to see John appear in Outlander Season 6. Then we got a tease that it would be possible. It nearly wasn’t, though. Due to the COVID situation, especially with how Berry’s native Australia handled it, there was almost a chance that Berry couldn’t justify coming to Scotland to film.
In the end, he made the decision to film. Just how many episodes did he film? How many episodes of Outlander Season 6 will he be in?
How many episodes of Outlander Season 6 did David Berry film?
According to news.com.au, David Berry went through a month on hotel quarantine to film two episodes of Outlander Season 6. So, are we expecting him at some point to help save what’s to come for Claire and Jamie? After all, he’s only been in one episode so far.
Sadly, the publication goes on to say that Episode 5 was Lord John Grey’s only appearance in this season. How is that possible when he filmed two episodes?
This will be linked to the show having to reduce its episode count for Outlander Season 6. There were originally supposed to be 12 episodes, and we know that Diana Gabaldon had originally written Episode 9. However, due to COVID and Caitriona Balfe’s pregnancy, filming was cut short and we now only have eight episodes.
There’s a chance the other episode Berry filmed was in the last four episodes. With that in mind, we should see Lord John Grey back in Season 7. We’re certainly hoping so. After all, Lord John Grey always puts a smile on our faces, and we’re certainly curious about what recent events mean for John and Jamie’s friendship.
