Arrow star Stephen Amell and Vikings actor Alexander Ludwig will be starring in a new tv series drama called Heels – a show about independent wrestling.
Some new casting news has just been announced, featuring two familiar faces for fans of long-running US dramas.
As reported by Deadline, the show has signed up David James Elliott and Joel Murray.
Elliot is perhaps best known for his role as Harmon Robb Jr in JAG, a role he played for 10 years between 1995 and 2005. He recently reprised his role in NCIS: Los Angeles in a multi-episode storyline that wrapped up some loose ends.
Meanwhile, Joel Murray might be best known for voicing Chester Cheetah, but he’s also played the memorable role of Eddie Jackson in the US version of Shameless, and was Freddy Rumsen in multiple seasons of Mad Men, which David James Elliott also had a role in, making it a fun little reunion.
Heels follows the story of two brothers called Jack Spade and Ace Spade (Did you get the card puns?) who fight over their father’s legacy in a small community in Georgia. Elliot will play their father Tom, proprietor of the Duffy Wrestling League, while Murray will star as a DWL sponsor named Eddie Earl.
