Friends actress Angela Featherstone – who famously played the role of Chloe – has admitted she has never watched the show.
Fans will remember that Ross Geller slept with Chloe thinking he was on a break with Rachel Green, thus becoming a central element to one of Friends’ most famous storylines.
However, Featherstone has revealed that she “wasn’t aware” of her character’s importance as she’s not actually sat down to watch it.
“I didn’t watch the series but I’ve heard,” she told RadioTimes.com. “So I think that [Chloe] became bigger in people’s minds than I was even aware of.”
Featherstone confirmed that she also hadn’t watched the show in general, explaining that it isn’t quite up her street.
“I should because everyone involved in that show is excellent,” she continued. “The writers, the cast, the directors – especially Jim Burrows who directed the episode that I was in, he’s one of the greatest TV directors of all time. That was huge for me.
“And I should watch it almost as an intellectual pursuit, it’s just that there’s 10 seasons – not like most of the three seasons you get now for shows – and it’s just not my genre.
“I tend more towards documentaries and stuff, but I love two shows – Ted Lasso and I love After Life. I basically love everything Ricky Gervais does,” the star added.
Elsewhere, the main Friends cast members reunited last year for a TV special, something that star Jennifer Aniston admitted could be emotionally overwhelming at times, which led her to walk off at points.
“It was all very jarring and, of course, you’ve got cameras everywhere,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “I’m already a little emotionally accessible, I guess you could say, so I had to walk out at certain points. I don’t know how they cut around it.”
