Lucifer season five has been teased by the cast and creators of the show over the past few months. Now the series is almost back on Netflix, showrunner Joe Henderson has dropped a huge clue about an upcoming family dinner scene on Twitter.
Has Archangel Michael’s introduction been confirmed in Lucifer season 5?
Season five of Lucifer is expected to launch its first eight episodes in the next few months on Netflix.
This is after fans have been waiting almost a year for new episodes of the devilish drama.
However, to tide viewers over, co-showrunner Henderson dropped a clue about a major scene in the new season.
On April 20, he wrote on Twitter: “Fellow writers — what is the longest single scene you’ve written?
“Because I just watched mine — and it’s 11 minutes and 27 seconds.
“One room, five actors, took two long days to shoot and it is AWESOME #Lucifer #Familydinner.”
This moment, it appears, will take place in season five, episode nine called Family Dinner.
However, the tease about an extended family dinner sent fans into meltdown about who will be involved.
Many have been left convinced the episode will feature God as one of the family members after it was confirmed he was joining the show.
At the beginning of the year, the creators announced Dennis Haysbert would be playing the character throughout the fifth and final season.
Although, fans have begun speculating who else could be involved in the dinner.
And one fan has pointed out how it could see the introduction of Archangel Michael finally to the show.
Viewer @neuralcluster wrote: “Oooh I love your enthusiasm. A long awesome scene with only five actors!
“That’s tough but how about God, Lucifer, Amenadiel, Michael, Chloe? This wait is so difficult, Joe.”
Michael is a character from Neil Gaiman’s Lucifer comics, which the Netflix show is loosely based on.
Called Michael Demiurgos, he is based on the archangel Michael who defeated Lucifer when he led his revolt on Heaven.
Michael is his brother and he was the one who destroyed the devil’s angelic powers.
Ever since the fifth season was announced last year, fans have been hoping the character could make an appearance.
Now with the potential of a dramatic family dinner, it seems this could be more likely than ever before.
However, not everyone is so convinced it will be Michael who is at the dinner with plenty of speculation about who else could appear.
User @DreaM25295624 speculated on Twitter: “Sounds intriguing, can’t wait to watch!
“Are you gonna tell us who the five are? My guess: Lucifer (Tom Ellis), Chloe (Lauren German), God, Maze (Lesley Ann-Brandt) and Trixie (Scarlett Estevez)?
Fan Ana Muriel also took to Twitter to guess it could be Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside), Linda (Rachael Harris), Chloe, Lucifer and God.
“Lucifer, God, Maze, Amenadiel and Linda. A family. I accept nothing else,” added @MsEveOfEden.
All will be revealed when Lucifer season five drops new episodes for viewers.
Lucifer season 5 will be released on Netflix soon.
