Obviously, if you’re looking for answers about the baby Roger is holding in the river from the Outlander Season 6 images released, you’ll likely want those spoilers. Or you may be a book fan who needs a reminder.
I’ll admit that it took me a while to remember the story from A Breath of Snow and Ashes. There were a few things that ran through my head at first. However, this storyline is more than likely linked to Marsali and Fergus’s fourth child, Henri-Christian.
What happens to Henri-Christian in Outlander Season 6?
Marsali is currently pregnant with her fourth child, Henri-Christian. This child is going to be a dwarf, but he’s a child who Marsali deeply loves and fiercely protects.
She’s not the only protective person on the Ridge. Roger will also protect this child, and that’s where this image of Roger with the baby in the river comes in.
In the book, there are some kids who put Henri-Christian in a basket and push that basket out into the river. Due to Henri-Christian’s disability, the kids make fun of him and want to drown the child. Roger rushes into the water and saves Henri-Christian before it’s too late.
It’s no wonder Roger has such an angry and distressed look on his face. Considering his whole body is covered in water, it looks like he has to dive into the water. It’s going to be a terrifying experience, but this will certainly make Roger all the more protective of his nephew.
It is a horrific and distressing part of the book. In fact, a lot of the chapters that involve Henri-Christian hurt, but they are also extremely powerful, and it’s only right that the show is including them in the series.
