The Rick and Morty social media accounts have an important message for fans: Get your sh*t together and wash your hands. On Friday, March 20, the Adult Swim show used its platform to raise awareness on basic protective measures against the coronavirus (COVID-19) — and all while remaining true to the Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon-created series. But even so, fans seem to be growing impatient as they practice social distancing. And in response to the video, many individuals demanded to know when Rick and Morty Season 4 returns with new episodes.
In a 20-second clip from Rick and Morty Season 2, Episode 7 — aka the Tiny Rick episode officially known as “Big Trouble in Little Sanchez” — Morty (Roiland) tells off Summer (Spencer Grammer). He says:
Well then get your sh*t together. Get it all together and put it in a backpack. All your sh*t. So it’s together. And if you gotta take it somewhere, take it somewhere, you know. Take it to the sh*t store and sell it. Or put it in the sh*t museum. I don’t care what you do. You just gotta get it together. Get your sh*t together.
As you may know, Morty is angry at Summer for suggesting Tiny Rick (Roiland) needs to return to his old body. However, if you take a look at the caption, the context is changed. It’s clear the Rick and Morty promo was posted to make a statement about the coronavirus pandemic.
“Just get it together and wash your hands,” the show’s official Twitter and Instagram wrote.
