Rick and Morty season 6 is almost upon us, so to celebrate its list of rather unique episode titles have been unveiled.
Continuing the cult sci-fi animation’s trend of parodying classic movies and TV shows, ComicBook reports that we’ll enjoy nods to National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, Basic Instinct and Full Metal Jacket this time around.
Hip-hip-hooray for Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith (Clark Griswold deep-cut fans, enjoy).
As promised, here’s those 11 all-important episode titles: ‘Bethic Twinstinct’, ‘Ricktional Mortpoon’s’, ‘Rickmas Mortcation’, ‘Full Meta Jackrick’, ‘Final Destination’, ‘Rick: A Mort Well Lived’, ‘Night Family’, ‘A Rick in King Mortur’s Mort’, ‘Solaricks’, ‘Analyze Piss’ and ‘Juricksic Mort’.
To go with those, Rick and Morty season 6 also has an official synopsis teasing what we can expect.
“Pick up where we left them, worse for wear and down on their luck. Will they manage to bounce back for more adventures? Or will they get swept up in an ocean of piss! Who knows?! Piss! Family! Intrigue! A bunch of dinosaurs! More piss! Another can’t miss season of your favourite show.”
Earlier this week, the show’s boss Justin Roiland teased why fans are going to love the latest adventures of schoolboy Morty and his boozy, space-travelling granddad.
“It really rewards fans of the show that have been watching up to this point. So it’s like, I think we’re kind of finally back into the rhythm of Rick and Morty.
“I think season 6 is – I didn’t particularly think season 5 was bad, but season 6 is f**king amazing. It really is a f**king quality season,” he added.
Rick and Morty airs on Adult Swim in the US, and on E4 and All 4 in the UK.
