The Flash season 7 has cast a star from Shadowhunters named Jon Cor as a classic DC villain.
According to TV Line, the actor will have a recurring guest role on the CW show as Mark Stevens, aka Chillblaine.
The official character description states: “Scientist Mark Stevens is a charismatic bad boy obsessed with cryogenic technology. But when he’s not breaking into corporate safes, he’s busy breaking hearts with his irresistible charm and roguish style.
“Armed with his own cold weapons, he’ll become a new thorn in the side of Team Flash as the DC Comics villain Chillblaine.”
In the comics, Chillblaine often partnered with fellow villain Golden Glider, aka Lisa Snart. However, there are currently no plans for Peyton List to reprise her role from season 1.
Chillblaine is the latest addition to the roster of villains for season 7 of The Flash, which premieres in the US on February 23.
As the synopsis for the new season reveals, after defeating Mirror Master Eva McCulloch, The Flash/Barry Allen will inadvertently unleash an even more powerful enemy on Central City, one that threatens to tear his team – and marriage – apart.
According to Danielle Nicolet, who plays attorney Cecile Horton in the Arrowverse series, we’ll be seeing a whole bunch of fan favourite villains making a return for season 7.
“You know we’re not allowed to tell you secrets about the season. But I will say I think it’s a reasonable assumption that, yeah we always have time travel, on some level, happening,” she told ComicBook.com.
“I mean, I can tell you this, there are going to be some favourites from the past, some bad guy favourites that may be paying a visit or two this season.”
