The CW Network just shared a promo video for Supernatural’s Season 15, Episode 17, showing us Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Jack (Alexander Calvert) meeting the biblical character Adam.

With only four episodes left of the hit supernatural-mystery series — leading up to the Winchester’s inevitable battle against God — it seemed only fitting that the world’s first man (biblically speaking) would make an appearance before the show’s final battle.

In the promo clip, viewers see a flabbergasted Dean, greeting Adam. “I’m Adam, first dude off the assembly line,” Adam (Alessandro Juliani) said. To which Dean replies, “Garden? Apple? That Adam? Wow.” Jack, meanwhile, squints, confused as the woman with Adam pats him.

The promo then teases a message soon after their greeting, with white font flickering in front of flames saying, “The first man, is their last hope.” The message suggests Adam will be an ally for Dean and Jack as the two of them hit the road to finish a final ritual against Chuck (Rob Benedict). However, Dean did kill Eve in Season 6 of Supernatural, which will be an interesting plot point to potentially see develop in this episode with the introduction of Adam. It’s unclear if Adam is working with Eve or knows of her revenge scheme(s) against Dean and Castiel

Season 15, Episode 17 is titled “Unity,” and is written by Meredith Glynn and directed by Catriona McKenzie. The official synopsis of the episode reads,

Dean (Jensen Ackles) hits the road with Jack (Alexander Calvert) who needs to complete a final ritual in the quest to beat Chuck (guest star Rob Benedict). A difference of opinion leaves Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Castiel (Misha Collins) behind looking for answers to questions of their own.

Supernatural premiered in 2005 and since then, it’s become the longest-running fantasy/science fiction series in American television history. Supernatural’s final season planned to conclude in May, but production was temporarily suspended this past March due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Principal photography resumed in August, filming the show’s final episodes for its wrap in September.

Starring Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert, the final episodes of Supernatural air Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
