The Big Bang Theory favourite Johnny Galecki is apparently a machine when it comes to getting rid of chewing gum.
Joining the Sunday Brunch guest line-up alongside Samm Henshaw and Liz Bonnin yesterday (January 30), his old sparring partner Kunal Nayyar (who played Raj in the hit sitcom) revealed a rather gross behind-the-scenes secret about his co-star.
Explaining the logistics of the apartment staircase set where Leonard, Sheldon and Penny all lived, the actor said: “The way it works is, you go down the stairs, and then they yell, ‘Hold’. They change the scenery from like if the apartment says 1a it suddenly says 2a or 3.
“They change the set so it looks exactly like another floor.”
Apparently, the cast would all remain in their positions after walking down each floor as the set dressers worked their sneaky magic.
“You run back up the stairs, that go nowhere, and then you walk back down as if it’s a new floor,” added Nayyar.
But here’s where Galecki’s downright dirty habit came into play.
“Down there is nothing, there’s a wall there where Johnny Galecki, for 12 years, would stick his chewing gum on.
“I’m not joking,” promised his co-star. “There’s a wall of 3,000 dried chewing gum from Johnny Galecki.
“So if any of you are Johnny Galecki fans and you want his dried chewing gum, I am sure it’s for sale somewhere on the internet. Welcome to Hollywood.”
