The Boys’ cast list is getting longer than that infamous appendage in season two, as it lines up Orphan Black’s Kristin Booth and Marcella’s Jack Doolan for its upcoming third chapter.
According to Deadline, the newbies are set to play super siblings Tessa and Tommy, aka the TNT Twins, in the eagerly-anticipated next instalment, while The Man in the High Castle’s Frances Turner is also set to return as Monique, the wife of Laz Alonso’s Mother’s Milk.
While little is known about the TNT Twins yet, it seems safe to assume, given their name, that their abilities will prove somewhat… explosive.
The trio join fellow season three additions, Sean Patrick Flanery, Miles Gaston Villanueva, Nick Wechsler, The Walking Dead’s Laurie Holden and Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles as Gunpowder, Supersonic, Blue Hawk, Crimson Countess and Soldier Boy, respectively.
Developed by Eric Kripke and based on the popular graphic novels by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, the dark comedy centres on the eponymous group of vigilantes who vow to take down an elite group of corrupt, professional spandex-wearers called The Seven, as well as the company that fund their “world-saving” antics, Vought International.
Alonso, Jack Quaid (as Hughie Campbell), Tomer Capon (Frenchie), Karen Fukuhara (Kimiko) and Karl Urban (Billy Butcher) make up The Boys, and are all returning for new episodes.
Similarly, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T Usher and Nate Mitchell will be back as Homelander, Starlight, Queen Maeve, A-Train and Black Noir.
Season three is likely to expand on season two’s dramatic reveal that Congresswoman Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) is actually a murderous wrong’un. Expect drama and, most likely, lots of blood and gore, too.
