The Boys college spin-off series is officially titled Gen V.
We’ve known about this project for almost a full two years now, so you could argue that the new Twitter video announcement was overdue.
In it, cast members Jaz Sinclair, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Lizze Broadway, Chance Perdomo, London Thor, Asa Germann, Maddie Phillips and Derek Luh tease what’s to come after unveiling the title, which alludes to The Boys universe’s super serum Compound V.

“It’s gonna be a rollercoaster, it’s gonna be filled with blood, guts and everything else”, “It’s f**ked up, you’re gonna like it”, “This will rock your socks off!” and “Superheroes, college, what could go wrong?” are just some of the pulse-raising quotes on offer.
As for what it’s all about, here’s a synopsis to whet your appetite: “Gen V is an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test, competing for the best contracts in the best cities.
“It’s part college show, part Hunger Games – with all the heart, satire, and raunch of The Boys.”
Discussing the spin-off’s genesis, showrunner Eric Kripke previously told Entertainment Weekly: “We got really interested in, ‘Wouldn’t it be great if we could take superheroes and make one of the most realistic college shows that’s ever been made?’ ‘Cause they’re not made very often.
“It’s its own totally different animal.”
With production now well underway, expect Gen V to arrive on Amazon Prime Video this time next year.
The Boys season 3 with new episodes premiering every Friday.
