Filming on a pilot for the highly-anticipated Supernatural spin-off The Winchesters has been completed.
The Supernatural prequel has been in production for the past month in New Orleans.
Danneel Ackles, the wife of original series star Jensen Ackles, is serving as executive producer on The Winchesters, and shared the update on Instagram alongside a behind-the-scenes photo from the set.
“That’s a wrap!!!,” Ackles wrote. “What a dream! Thanks to all our family new and old.”
The show does not have a release date confirmed yet, but will see Jensen Ackles return as Dean Winchester once more, this time to narrate.
Sam and Dean Winchester’s parents, Mary and John, take centre stage in this series as we delve into the history of the family.

American Housewife star Meg Donnelly is playing young Mary Winchester, with The In-Between actor Drake Rodger starring as Sam and Dean’s father John. The cast also includes Station 19’s Nida Khurshid and newcomer Jojo Flites.
The Winchesters is set to be an “epic, untold love story of how John met Mary and how they put it all on the line to not only save their love but the entire world”, according to its official synopsis.
Ackles has previously opened up about how The Winchesters first came to fruition.
“When Danneel and I formed Chaos Machine Productions, we knew the first story we wanted to tell was the story of John and Mary Winchester, or rather the Supernatural origin story,” he said.
“I always felt like my character, Dean, would have wanted to know more about his parents’ relationship and how it came to be,” the actor added.
Meanwhile, the initial announcement of The Winchesters spinoff sparked some controversy when Ackles’ on-screen brother Jared Padalecki claimed to have only found out about the series via Twitter.
Padalecki later clarified that he and Ackles had spoken about the situation, and urged fans not to send any hate.
Padalecki also has his own spinoff project in the works for his new CW series Walker.
